Should we try Slack?

https://join.slack.com/t/quiltingsisters/shared_invite/enQtMzA1NzE1NTM1OTM4LTkzYTViMzM3YzRlMDNjYWJkMTI5ZTg0NmQ2OWM3ODQ2MGUwNmVhODRlZDM4MTk3YjJjNDZhMjI3YTQzYmUxYjY

I’m not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I’m hoping some or all of you will try it. Since Blogger is full of technical issues (and has been for a long while with little hope of developers updating it), I think we should try the app called Slack.

The link above is a link to a group I have started. Join in and let’s see if this can make our communicating about our quilting better.

My mystery quilt

So here is my only  block for the mystery, I used pink instead of the melon, most of it from my stash. Woo hoo.
This is for Linda: I opted for neutral on the outside edge instead of teal. Might put final border as teal.

Sharing my latest project. I am really loving long arm quilting. I think I'm crossing over Deanne.

Changing the font!

Just thought I would mention it here so no one will wonder what is going on with the blog! It has been mentioned to me that the scroll-y font that is used on the blog is harder to read for some. So, I am going to change it to a more standard font. You'll notice the letters used will change, but hopefully it'll help some of us!

Anyone up for a sewing day sometime soon? Maybe we can plan something? It seems like it's been a long time!

Progress on Mystery

Bonnie Hunter released clue #5 yesterday. I am finally done with clues #1-3. I'm working on clue #4 now...just 56 of those pieced triangles finished so far for clue #4. I need 218, so I have a ways to go! And clue #5 is a lot of flying geese.

New Bonnie Hunter mystery - first clue today!

Anyone doing the new mystery? Find it here: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/p/on-ringo-lake-mystery.html

I finished today’s clue #1! (I'm using a deep teal instead of her chocolate brown.)

The quilt is almost done, it is at Jannets. She is putting the binding on it.  If you want to sign the label, contact her or Tawna. If you want someone to add your name for you,  let them know please.   Thanks for all the help.

It looks like we have the border print and the binding fabric. I think I have a piece for the backing. It isn't blue and/ or white, it's more of a tan with a small print but it is a 9 yard piece.  All that's left is a 100 x 100 piece of batting. Does anyone have one they would like to donate? How are your blocks going? If anyone has any questions, let me know...thanks everybody!!

If you have a preferred method for your HST's, left me know; otherwise you will be getting a background strip that is 3 1/2 -4 " wide.
Thanks

That didn't work like I wanted it to. Here is picture of block. Cindie has instructions and cutting directions. I ordered enough white so anyone participating will get some to use for how ever many blocks they want to do. Furnish your own blues.

Trying to post link to a picture of Crown of Thorns quilt block. Two blues and white background.
We are doing a wedding Quilt for Virgil and his bride to be. We will furnish the white background, others participating provide the two shades of blue. Let myself or Cindy know if you would like to help.
Thanks
