It doesn't look like much, but I got some cutting done for some units in the Bonnie Hunter mystery yesterday. Just need some stitching time now!

My block of the month...

It is block seven! I feel like there should be music in the background. They are all ironed down, now for the stitching. I think I have five months left....lots of flowers!

Candace, have we started the next round of secret gifts? I would like to be back in the loop please..... it's spring, and I'm cured of my winter doldrums! If people don't mind that I give from my stash, I have lots to share, including books and patterns.

Just thinking of you today, Linda, and wondering if you have been able to check out the blog lately. Hope so! We've been quiet... must be busy. Wish I had a bit more time each day. But I am sure it would just be eaten up by more busy-ness. (sigh)

Just a few stitches...

I was able and interested to sew a few stitches. Wow, does it feel good. I haven't stitched for so long.....I thought I forgot how. Here is a new project. The black is my background. I know I didn't need a new project as I have a dozen in different stages of done ness.

I missed the last sew day so I'm really looking forward to the next one. I love you girls and feel so sorry for myself when I miss. Can't wait to see ya soon!

Schedule for this weekend...

It has been decided to proceed with Alta's baby shower as scheduled. That will be at 6:00 pm Friday at Jan Auman's house.

John's memorial will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Chehalis Kingdom Hall. There will be a reception afterwards at the Newaukum Grange. Contact Candace if you are able to bring finger foods for Saturday or if you would like to provide a meal to the Hazen family in the next couple of weeks.


We were planning to have a get together on Sunday at my house at 5:00. I don't know.... Should we reschedule that? I just don't want to do the wrong thing....

I now you all were waiting to hear that..... I will still need lots of help, so feel free to offer all kinds of advice. Sorry I didn't have a chance to talk to you, Marge. With all that's been happening, my brain was on overload.

Just cleaned out all my pictures from the ipad....from now on, I'll be more reasonable. 228 in one week. Crazy!

Next month's quilt group...

We're going to meet at Adrianne's house in Olympia next month. It'll be on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 am. Those of us down south are planning to carpool and caravan up there. We could plan to meet at Candace's house at 9:15 that morning? What does everyone think of that plan?

Now, another part of the plan is to have a little "friendly competition" that day. These two pictures are Cindie and Adrianne's quilt centers from a Jelly Roll competition they recently participated in. Congrats to Adrianne for winning that competition!! You sew, girl!!

Everyone who chooses to participate needs to bring your basic sewing supplies and ONE JELLY ROLL or it's equivalent (40 - 2 1/2 inch strips of fabric - each strip being the full width of the fabric). I knew I've been saving that yummy Jelly Roll for something fun!! ~ The first one who gets the center of the top completed will win a Sister's gift certificate!! Wahoooo!

So, get your fabric and machines ready to travel!

Quilt group - Friday and Saturday

You're welcome to come and sew at Gloria's house tomorrow and Saturday. I'll be there at 10 am tomorrow to get us started. (Mom has an appt. so she will join us a bit later.)

Don't forget that we will do the big reveal of the secret sister exchange on Saturday. Bring the gift for your secret sister and everyone will get to know who their special sister has been for this round.

Wedding!!!

Wish I had pictures, but maybe someone else does. It was a great time. Altho, I thought Dylan was going to pass out. He looked kinda pasty, but he made it thru. Saw them today, soooo happy. Thank you my friends so much for helping in the kitchen and at the reciption, you made it all so much more enjoyable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
