A little of this, a little of that...

I got the first installment of Bonnie Hunter's new mystery done and stored away. There won't be new instructions until the may/June issue of Quiltmaker. So the pieces are in a plastic tub until needed.

I put together the tumbling block center of the Berenstein Bears baby quilt top. The side borders are on, have to sew on the top and bottom. No real plan for this one yet, but I'm sure it'll find a home sooner or later. Sewed with Bonnie this morning a bit on QuiltCam. It was the first time I've been able to catch it at the right time. Kinda fun...

I also worked on Elvis' binding. About halfway on that. Getting set for a busy month, so I'm sure the sewing will slow wayyyyyyyyy down!

I got notice from the library that Jennifer Chiaverini's new book had arrived for me, so I started reading Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker. No talk of quilting in it thus far. From what a read on the cover, I think this is quite a departure from her past books. Very similar in that its historical fiction, but more historical than others she has done, if that makes sense. I'm somewhere in the third chapter at this point.

Well, I'm late for bed. Hoping that this full week will mean things can be more routine at school, making it smoother. I can hope, right?

Oatmeal in disguise

Can't feel too sorry for myself with this as breakfast!

How we managed the corners-worked great!
There will be a reception at Burens' April 7th
for Mitch & Atarah. It will be Sun. afternoon, after the talk. I should be able to get the binding on this weekend. But we need a label and I'd like someone else to do that.

Cindie-What about Dylan's quilt?

How is it coming? Need help? I keep forgetting to ask.

The "Other" Wedding Quilt

Karen finished quilting the Mitch-Atarah quilt. It looks great! Today I cleaned sewing room/trimmed quilt edges. Should have binding on soon. One of these days I'll get a picture of it to share.

Yummy dinner

Thought I'd share my concoction that turned out pretty great. I make a variety of chicken enchilada recipes...never seem to do it the same. Here's tonight's:

Filling:
4 oz. cream cheese
1 can rotel (10oz)
2-3 cups cooked chicken
3/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese
1 can pinto beans, drained

Fill and roll into flour tortillas to fill your pan. I did a 13x9 in pan. Pour a large can of green enchilada sauce over the top. Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes. Sprinkle with a bit more cheese. Melt. Enjoy!

Monday sewing

I got my 96 HSTs pressed and then 80+ smaller HSTs stitched and pressed for Bonnie Hunter's new mystery. Still need to make more of the smaller HSTs as well as 72 four-patches. Feel like I'm making progress, though!

Moving day update

Todd, Deanna, Savannah, and I kept at it for most of the day. We got tons put away! Not that she has time for it just yet, but Deanna COULD actually SEW in that sewing room if she wanted! It's looking great!

These pics are all in the previously crammed sewing room.

Moving Day

Lots of help moving Todd and Deanna today. It was awesome! Janette made a great breakfast too. We LOADED the new sewing room with tons of boxes and "good junk". Here's how many saw it last.... Well, kind of like this. It was pretty packed by the time we were all unloaded.
