Busy quilting day

I got two quilts quilted today. Whew! I'm beat!! That's a lot of hours bent over the machine. 

The first is for my nephew in California.

Bow tie

After seeing Deanna's bow tie quilt in progress, I decided to work on mine, not as cute as hers, but I still think I'm going to like it.

January 31st.

Today 6 of us sewed in Castle Rock.  It was a lot of fun!!  The shop was beautiful. Plenty of tables...two ironing boards, a huge cutting table and loads of light!  It only took a little while to get there and the day was awesome!  The owner was super accommodating!  She even called other shopes to help Tam find some fabric.  She says we can come back whenever her classroom is open!

We are sewing at Gloria's on December 13th at 2:00

We will see again at the quilt nest on January 31st from 10:00-4:00

I am so new to all this blogging stuff, I hope this gets posted accurately.  I finished my postage stamp quilt.  Never really thought I would like one but after completing this one; humm...maybe.  A sister's husband told me they wanted a quilt like one his grandmother would make. He brought me the old one that was practically worn out so I could get an idea.  Knew immediately it was Postage Stamp.  It was fun to make and they didn't want the 1 inch squares, (so grateful for that) 2 inch worked well for them.  Anyway, here it is. (I hope picture comes through) King size...never again!!

Today, I got the top quilted and the binding is 95% done. 

That little bit along the bottom is all I have left! 

Actually got to sew a bit this weekend!

I cut strips for an old quilt pattern from Noel many moons ago. It's called Every Which Way. Remember it?? Anyways, I have half of the top together! The rest of the strip sets are sewn and ready to whack  up and stitch back together. Anyone else sewing lately?

Our next sew day is at my house!  I'm so excited!  October 18th at 1:00. If you have a hand project that would be great....if not bring your machine and we will be cozy!  I can't wait!!!

Hello lovely ladies. Hope you are all well. One day I will finish another quilt to post. Until then you can call me the proquiltinator! ;-) Any who. I am part of a Relay for Life team for the American Cancer Society. I was just curious if any of you had a quilt just hanging around the house looking for someone to love it.
