Anniversary Quilts - Want to Help?

So, we have a few couples {who haven't received quilts} that are celebrating anniversaries in 2014. None of them are "the" 20th anniversary... each of them are far past that. {One got one of our beginning quilts that was tied... when we recently chatted, we included them on the TO-DO list.... they are at 31 years now!!!}

So, I am looking for volunteers to head up these projects. Maybe you???

What that means is that you would choose one of the couples and determine a plan of action for their anniversary quilt. Sometimes the project leader will choose just the pattern. Other times, she chooses a focus fabric that ties the project together... it is really up to you. Usually, you can strongarm one of the longarm ladies to do the quilting. We also have members who are willing to just add the borders or just do the binding... We just need someone to get in the driver's seat and help make it all happen. Vroom, vroom!

I don't want to publish the list of couples to try to preserve the surprise. But, if you are willing to take the lead on one of these projects, let me know! You can text me at 360-269-2078 or email at candace2robinson@gmail.com to find out more. Or.... we can chat about it at the next quilt date (January 25 at Gloria's).

Sewing Marathon

Well, I'm back from my trip to find the sun in Mexico. A fun time was had by all. I'm ready for some serious sewing. Hope you are too. I'm cooking a turkey for Thursday. So if anyone wants to bring things to go with it, that would be great. I will do mashed potatoes and gravy. For those on a select diet, you should probably bring your own food. Anyway we will have a great time, and I will try to keep the beasties at bay. :o)

A bit of weekend sewing...

I got my strips all cut and ready for the swap. 96 strips!

I did a bit of sewing on Jorey's quilt. Remember the 100-piece blocks? Just three to piece! Almost ready to quilt this one.
It's pinned up in the center, so you can't see the whole thing. That's most of it, though!

New B.H. Mystery

For anyone who is thinking about doing the next Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt, she will be giving the yardage and size for the next one on October 15th. I think I am going to challenge myself to use what I have in my stash this time. Candace did that last time and it was amazing. So Start thinking about getting ready for it. She is going to be giving 2 sizes this year, a 75x75 or king size.

Next group sew...

Hello friends! You are all invited to the next sew group. It will be at my house this Sunday, September 22nd. I do not want to discourage anyone from Service, but please feel free to come spend the afternoon.

I am planning a baked potato bar. You are welcome to bring toppings, snacks to share, and/or your preferred drinks. I do have a bit of sodas, water, coffee, and tea. Of course be sure to bring something to work on and show-n-tell...or just please come and visit.

Please do not post my address or phone number online...hopefully the photo is self explanatory. If you need directions, there are several who can help with that. Hugs to you all!
