Next Sew Days

If you're interested in making a baby quilt of this pattern, feel free to bring 30 rectangles (5 x 10 in.) in a variety of prints (or 5 fat quarters worth) AND 30 - 5 in. squares of a background print.

We will work on them side-by-side, if you want!

We will sew on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 at Gloria's house.

In May, we are sewing at Tamsen's on May 30.

So quilters, I finally read an explanation as to WHY some fabrics are better quality then others: Manufacturers do test runs on greige fabric. This is an inferior fabric used so they can test the dye, the pattern, grain and so on....The first test batch is sent to Wal-Mart type stores. The second test batch is sent to Joanne type stores. The third and final printing is sold in quilt fabric stores. Now this I understand!! Greige is pronounced grey or grej. (And the lightbulb went on) Hope you enjoyed this.

Sew day....castle rock

I didn't get any pics today. (Fail) I did have a great time tho. There was five of us. The next sew day is at my house on March 29th from 12:30ish to bedtime. Lol. It's the Sunday after our assembly. I bought fabric today...I know, shocking!  Came home and made a block out of it.  Only a bizzillion to go.

Hope to see ya all soon!

Another quilt done!

Another quilt done. I started this quilt 15 years ago. It was a BOM from my old quilt guild in Enumclaw. As you can see I only finished 9 of the months. Oh well, done is done.

Blocks for Kristen and Robin

We are going to make these blocks for Kristen for her wedding. If any one wants to help make a block,  we would appreciate the help.  I have the dark blue all you need is white and another blue.

Binding done on log cabin quilt

This is my log cabin quilt. I mixed in blocks from a fall block exchange with the local quilt guild plus four orphan blocks.
